GeoPune is a community of mapheads based out of the city of Pune. We are a close-knit bunch who are passionate about GIS, open data and tech. The idea of GeoPune started off as a passion project by two friends. The story started back in 2018, where they kept getting asked the question: “Maps? Hasn’t Google Maps pretty much made cartographers obsolete?”. The answer is an emphatic no, and this community helps to spread the word about why.
